MMC provides immediate Newborn immunizations for Hep B and Vitamin K. Eye medication prophylaxis is also provided.  These are done during the immediate post-partum period.

Per RH 9228, MMC provided Newborn Screening to ALL babies born at our centre.  Twenty-six (26) conditions are currently screened: Congenital Hypothyroidism, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, Phenylketonuria, Galactosemia, and Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency.

BCG immunizations are given free of charge to all babies born at MMC.  BCG is done every other Thursday at 8 am.

Hearing tests are provided to all Phil Health covered newborns.  Hearing tests are FREE of charge and are given on the same day as BCG, every other Thursday.
